Greetings from London. Today we have some new Paris and New York page markers to share with you. Our London set was very well received, so we've extended it to include landmarks from two more great cities.
Each set is to scale at 5000 times smaller than the actual building (we work in 0.01mm give or take), so you can now pagemark all your books and files in true international style.
Let me know your thoughts - we're always interested to hear which buildings you'd like to see in future series.
In early 20th Century New York pioneered a new style of high rise building, the skyscraper. This was made possible by the invention of the elevator brake and the solid granite geology of Manhattan. The city hosts some incredible distinctive buildings so selecting just four to include in our City Clip set took some thought! The set includes;
The Empire State Building, holder of the world's tallest building record for 42 years.
The Chrysler Building, one of the most elegant examples of Art Deco architecture.
The New York Life Building, notable for its bright gilded roof.
Hearst Tower, a personal favourite with its dramatic triangular construction.
"We'll always have Paris" and now you'll always have a micro-Paris! The city of love has a dramatic and varied architectural heritage - ranging from the most famous folly in history to icons of the post-modern movement from the 1980s.
This set of four stainless steel markers include;
Tour Eiffel, (how could we not!) it's the tallest structure in Paris and global icon of France.
Cathedrale Notre Dame de Paris, probably the most loved piece of gothic architecture.
La Grande Arche de la Défense, a postmodern reimaginging of the Arc de Triomphe.
Sacré-Cœur Basilica, the byzantine architectural site that overlooks the city.
