The Society of Revisionist Typographers (SORT) is made up of two gentlemen: Theo Wang and Thomas Boulton. In their Cockpit Arts Studio in Holborn they keep the metier of the letterpress alive. Creating marvellous designs for all occasions on their hand operated press - it's a joy to behold at the Cockpit Open Studios! Thomas and Theo both graduated from the London College of Printing studying typographic/graphic design.
SORT was born from their "desire to produce and concentrate on our own particular type of print-based typographic design, using contemporary design technologies fused with traditional letterpress printing processes. Our end products therefore have the flexibility of modern day design, coupled with with the individuality, quality and characteristics of the Victorian printing era." Their craftsmanship has caught the eye of Fortnum and Mason, the Design Museum, Liberty, Tate Modern & Britain and the V&A.
SORT's prize in the #stationerystars Instagram competition is an Allotment Fancier's Stationery Set, which contains - 30 sheets of notepaper in two styles, 8 note lets in two styles, 20 printed envelopes and one notebook.
